19 of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player secured his maiden title for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The athlete, a former world number one, has endured a torrid period, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his service game in particular - led to him falling of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-term coach Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, he has gradually improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive win over challenger Moutet.
This represents his initial championship after the Rome competition and first on a hard surface after spring of the previous year.
The win also means Medvedev has secured 21 championships at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my children at once, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, including in Halle previously this season.
His counter-punching strategy and recurring outbursts on court had caused some to doubt if his capacity to play at the highest level was concluded.
But the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, striving to approach the net and compete aggressively, supported by an improved serving game.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the first set against the difficult Frenchman, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players traded breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his first tour victory, seized the initiative to create a third set.
The opponent defended four early-game opportunities in a close final set before the Russian broke to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, the winner secured the win with a point at the net, with the Frenchman incapable to control a return after a lengthy match.
